May 14, 2015 – Much has been said and been written about the arts, culture and heritage announcements in Budget 2015. Much remained to be done with lesser-known elements of the budget that strengthen the rationale for enhancements to Regulation 105 withholding tax.

March 16, 2015 – On behalf of a collective of 17 performing arts organizations representing more than 1,000 stakeholders, CAPACOA sent a letter outlining a series of recommendations for improving the administration of Regulation 105, a required withholding tax on fees paid to foreign artists.

February 12, 2012 – Citizenship and Immigration Canada published on Tuesday a notice on Changes to strengthen employer accountability under the International Mobility Program. These changes will not affect performing arts presenters.

January 5, 2015 – The Canadian Conference of the Arts, Canadian Arts Coalition and Saskatchewan Arts Alliance published the analysis of the 2014 Federal Budget which examines federal funding for the arts and culture sector over the whole 2014 calendar year.

December 11, 2014 – The Performing Arts Alliance under the initiative of CAPACOA has put together a working group to explore ways of improving the administration of Regulation 105 withholding tax.

August 4, 2014 – CAPACOA once again collaborated with the Canadian Arts Coalition and Imagine Canada to make recommendations for the development of the 2015 federal budget.
