internationale tanzmesse nrw is currently inviting Canadian professional contemporary dance artists, companies, professionals and organizations to submit proposals to showcase at the event, which takes place August 28-31, 2024 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Important: Only those who have an Area (booth) in the Agora (Exhibition Space) may hand in a proposal. CAPACOA will be in attendance in order to facilitate Canadian participation, and we are offering space for artists to submit proposals through our booth. Proposals are being accepted until September 15, 2023. Artists will be selected by tanzmesse Co-Directors Isa Köhler and Katharina Kucher together with Associate Curators Julia Asperska, Dan Daw, Natacha Melo and Quito Tembe.

tanzmesse is looking for full-length performances on stage, in public spaces and digitally that will be presented to international visitors and a public audience, as well as proposals for Open Studios and Insights. In the Open Studios, artists present their artistic productions through a short physical presentation and a Q&A. In an Insight, professionals give a media-based presentation to share production methods, project ideas, networks, collaborations, and other endeavours in the field of dance.
