A document on Arts as a Factor in Health Promotion was presented to the parliamentarians by the Canadian Dance Assembly, on behalf of the Performing Arts Alliance.
Nine Members of Parliament and two Senators from the NDP, the Liberal Party and the Conservative Party attended the meeting.
Presentations were made by:

Parliamentarians were moved by the breadth of impact that the arts can have on healing and health, and they wanted to know how they could assist arts and health initiatives.
