CAPACOA is pleased to announce the launch of its International Market Development Initiative (IMDI) – pilot program. This initiative will explore network development in the era of COVID-19, with a view to advantageously positioning Canada in a post recovery environment.  CAPACOA will facilitate relationship building beyond our borders and forward planning for live international exchange.

During a series of networking meetings, presenters from each side (Canadian and International) will discuss programming visions and objectives, planning and processes,  current market conditions and post-pandemic opportunities. A process of matchmaking artists with respective presenters will emerge based on these discussions: each participant will recommend an artist from their home country based on the vision, needs and objectives of the other side. This process will give visibility and opportunities to the artists in new markets, and ensure relevant matchmaking, connecting the right artist based on the needs of the market with the right presenter.

The Canadian presenter cohort, listed here, includes 40 CAPACOA members who will be paired with colleagues from different countries and regions around the globe. These participants represent the multi-disciplinary breadth of work from all provinces and territories across Canada; from equity-seeking organizations exploring diversity and inclusion.
