January 16, 2018 – With the certification of several new neighbouring tariffs by the Copyright Board, in September 2017, multi-disciplinary presenters and performing arts venue managers may find themselves having to deal with multiple tariffs. In order to help everyone navigate these new tariffs, CAPACOA issued guidance and will hold a web conference to explain the new tariffs.
The guidance includes a simplified decision tree that makes it easy to identify which licence is needed for events that involve a live performance.
The web conference, entitled “Understanding the New Re:Sound Tariffs,” will be held on Tuesday January 23rd, at 1:00 pm (EDT).
