CAPACOA’s Arts Promotion efforts focus on cultural policy advancement, public awareness, research and ways and means that unite the sector.

Take Action: Ask you MP to Support CAPACOA’s Pre-budget Recommendations

As the federal government undertakes an unprecedented expense reduction initiative and prepares for an exceptional fall budget, we invite you to speak up for arts funding by writing to your Member of Parliament (MP).

Use the following letter template to let your MP know that certain programs at Canadian Heritage are at risk of losing $22.5 million in federal funding, unless an extension is granted in the fall 2025 federal budget. If your MP is supportive, we have a letter template they can send to the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture.
