On Friday, June 26, at 11AM, CAPACOA and the Canadian Dance Assembly are hosting a webinar on the topic of The Law and Live Streaming.
As an increasing number of artists and venues are exploring digitizing their arts events, questions arise around the legal responsibilities and rights of artists, venues, and contracts. Over the course of the webinar, the lawyers will discuss the rights and needs of artists, choreographers, composers, and other rights holders at play in streaming content. The panelists will also explore contracts, and remedies, for performers in online platforms.
With lawyer James Kosa (WeirFoulds, Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law), Jasmine Spei (consultant) and moderator Lee Sela (barrister), we will explore the responsibilities and rights we all share in streaming arts online.
Presented in partnership with the Canadian Dance Assembly.
