About
Surrey Civic Theatres (SCT) presents a full season of in-person live performing arts. Our SCT programming has two main streams. The Presentation Series focuses on professional presentations of theatre, music, comedy and dance for adults and families, offering a wide range of experiences to Surrey audiences. Surrey SPARK Stages presents a full season of live Performing Arts for Young Audiences (PYA) presentations and a SPARK Stages Celebration Weekend Festival providing affordable performing arts presentations and activities to children and families. In addition to season presentations, SCT hosts community engagement activities, professional mentorship opportunities and performing arts education classes on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Key activities in the Presentation Series include the Arts Club on Tour, classical music Coffee Concerts, a series featuring Indigenous creators, and a showcase presenting established and emerging local musicians. Performances include a range of music, theatre, puppetry, storytelling and circus performances from a range of diverse cultures, including Indigenous, Australian, African, Asian and South-East Asian presenters. All performances and activities take place at the Surrey Arts Centre Main Stage, Studio Theatre and Program Room, as well as Centre Stage at City Hall and Clayton Community Centre Performing Arts Studio.
