About
A graduate of the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal (EDCM) in 2018, Mathilde is an artistic director, choreographer-performer, and instructor in both circus arts and gymnastics. Originally from France and trained as a gymnast, she has since established herself as a performer within Montréal’s contemporary dance and circus communities. Mathilde delves into themes of transhumanism and its influence on human evolution, crafting short choreographic works that integrate a variety of suspended and non-suspended media as well as technological tools. Her early creations have been presented at venues including the Chalet du Mont-Royal, Sainte-Émélie-de-l’Énergie, Témiscouata, and Lachine. She is currently developing larger-scale productions such as Antilope: What Remains of Our Humanity?, Le dernier flocon—a duet with Daphnée Sergerie—and new works in collaboration with the collective Mouvement Vertical.
