Naishi Wang was born in Changchun, China and while still young settled in Toronto, Canada. He is inspired by the rich culture of his Chinese heritage, which influences his choreographic creations. As an award-winning performer and choreographer, Wang’s development aligns with his belief that the performing arts can help us see new, real and imaginary perspectives. Naishi is currently an artist in residency at the Citadel in Toronto, Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, NAC in Ottawa and Dance 4 in Nottingham (UK). His recent works have received additional support through; Respirations du FTA and Small Scale Creation Fund from CanDance.
