About
STO Union is a professional, anglophone minority, artist-led producing company founded in 1992 based in Wakefield, Quebec. For over more than three decades, the organization has produced over 35 original multidisciplinary and theatre-based creations, alongside live art events, public workshop presentations, and video works. Its productions have toured extensively—locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally—appearing in major theatres and festivals across Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, and the United States. The company’s work spans all-ages projects, community-engaged creations, and large-scale professional productions, balancing international presentation with local engagement. STO Union’s productions and collaborators have received major awards and recognition, including the Siminovitch Prize, the largest prize in Canada for STO Union's artistic director, Nadia Ross; as well as the Dora Award, the Chalmers Award, and the Contra-Guy Award.
