About
Since 1939, the Chester Playhouse has been the site of artistic presentations in the seaside village of Chester, Nova Scotia. Re-opened in 2023 after a devastating fire in 2021, the Playhouse is a 175 soft seat theatre that presents a wide range of programming for the surrounding community, including concerts, theatre, variety performances, movies, community events and more, as well as arts education programs for children and adults. We strive to be a community hub that is accessible, equitable, and welcoming to all. Come join us!
