Calendar of Events featuring Indigenous Performers

In honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 2024, and in collaboration with the Indigenous Performing Arts Alliance and Jensen Group, CAPACOA has developed a calendar of events featuring Indigenous performers.

Powered by linked open data via the Artsdata knowledge graph, this calendar will be of particular interest to presenting organizations in search of new Indigenous talent, as well as to the tourism sector by aggregating and centralizing event data for Indigenous performances across Canada. This will fill an important gap in the performing arts sector by providing a single source for event data featuring Indigenous performers.

The calendar can be found here, on IPAA’s website.

If you represent a performing arts organization interested in having your events featured on this calendar, you can reach out to CAPACOA’s Indigenous Librarian at [email protected].

Additional Resources

Upon working with Denise Bolduc, curator of The UNcommon Wealth at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, we felt it was important to share online resources about Canadian Indigenous history and advocacy.

This is not an exhaustive list and we will continue updating this page as more information is collected. If you have any suggestions or additions for this list of Indigenous resources, please reach out to us.
