“Semantic web markups can transform the discoverability of contents over the web.” (Digitizing the Performing Arts, 2017)

Can structured data markups really impact how arts goers find performing arts events around them? Back in 2017, we had good indications that it could make a difference. Today, we have proof.

New research commissioned as part of the Artsdata project has found a strong association between specific structured data markups and web traffic coming from search engines’ results pages. During this launch event, researchers will present a multi-modal measurement framework for digital discoverability and will unveil which particular structured data points every performing arts organization ought to add to their website. Many hands-on tools and resources will also be shared.

This event will be of high interest to all performing arts professionals, and to marketers in particular.

English-French interpretation will be provided.
