As an event organizer, you spend a lot of time entering event information on your website and on event listings. But is this information fully optimized for discovery via search engines and AI? Can it be reused across digital platforms?
In this session, you will learn how structured data and GEO can boost the digital discoverability of your events. You will also learn how open knowledge bases such as Wikidata and Artsdata may have already lent you a helping hand. By putting a few key recommendations into practice, you can harness the power of these technologies to reach new audiences!
This beginner-friendly session is open to all cultural workers and artists. It will be an especially helpful for anyone attending the Artsdata PD session at the CAPACOA conference.

Morgan Pannunzio (Data and Media Project Manager, CAPACOA)
Morgan Pannunzio (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto, on the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Mississaugas of the Credit River, Huron-Wendat, and Haudenosaunee peoples. A Humber College alumna, Morgan holds a Bachelor of Music (Voice, 2023) and a certificate in Creative Writing (2024). Alongside her artistic practice, Morgan works as a Data and Media Project Manager at the Canadian Association for the Performing Arts (CAPACOA), where she combines her passion for open data and the arts.
