Online Performances Webinar: Part 1
January 19 @ 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm EST
A Short-lived Substitution Activity or a New Business Model for the Performing Arts?
Join us Tuesday, January 19, 2021 3:00-4:15 pm EST, to discuss how online performance offerings can be a viable and sustainable mode of dissemination for your organization!
When all live events were suddenly interrupted by public health restrictions, the entire business model of the live performance sector fell apart. Many performing arts organizations turned on a dime and experimented with streaming as a means of delivering on their mission and maintaining engagement with their patrons. Some did find a sizable online audience. But will the appetite for online performances persist once in-person events resume?
In this first of two webinars, experts from the industry will share lessons learned from audience surveys and from experimentations with online dissemination of performance offerings. Defining the value proposition, choosing the platform, finding an audience, and earning some revenues. Resilience is one thing. Long-term sustainability is another.
