About The Succession Plan Program
The Succession Plan (TSP) is a mentorship and peer network development program for emerging and mid-career presenters, artistic directors, administrators, agents, managers and other arts professionals. The program seeks to provide leadership, foster innovative thinking and equip participants with the tools and resources necessary to be active participants in the development of arts and culture in their community.
The TSP provides networking and mentorship opportunities that will be embedded into the 2017 CAPACOA conference:
1. One-on-one mentorship with a mentor from the national community during the conference.
2. Opportunities to network with peers in small and in large groups to discuss the new realities of working in the arts and other relevant issues related to their work.
3. Experience of the CAPACOA conference programming, showcases, performances and special meetings within the TSP framework.
This program is an excellent opportunity for emerging arts professionals to spend time working through questions that they have about their work, meet individuals at the same level in their career and begin to create a vision for their next steps. It is also a way to experience the CAPACOA conference a safe, supportive and informative peer group. Relationships built during the TSP can last a lifetime.
The program is FREE to delegates who are registered for the CAPACOA conference and available on a first come, first served basis to qualified applicants. Costs incurred for housing, travel, meals and conference registration are the participants’ responsibility.
