CAPACOA's arts promotion activities are done in conjunction with the following partners:
The PAA represents over 1100 of Canada's live performing arts organizations and our foremost performing artists. Driven by the Canadian Dance Assembly, Opera.ca, Orchestras Canada, the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres, and CAPACOA, it is the recognized voice for the live performing arts sector in Canada - its artists, presenters, festivals, producers, volunteers, supporters and board members. The PAA is part of the Canadian Arts Coalition and works in tandem with other representative bodies in the cultural and not-for-profit sector including the Canadian Conference for the Arts, the Canadian Arts Summit, Imagine Canada and others.
The PAA is united in the view that sustained public investment in the arts by the federal government is essential to Canada's continued economic vitality, prosperity and quality of life. It has the firm belief that all Canadians will benefit from better access to the arts, and that Canadian artists and arts organizations play a key role in enhancing Canada's reputation at home and abroad.
The Canadian Arts Coalition is Canada's largest ever group of artists, business leaders and volunteers. Coalition members are united in the knowledge that greater public investment in the arts is essential to Canada's future, and with the belief that the high quality of life, for which Canada is known, depends on a rich, vibrant and diverse arts and heritage community.
Culture Days is a collaborative pan-Canadian volunteer movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. Culture Days take place throughout the country over the last weekend of September.
