Research and Development Webinar: Audience Research

February 2, 2016 – At CAPACOA, we are constantly on the lookout for exciting trends, approaches and opportunities in the performing arts. Over the next two months, we'll be presenting webinars on the outcomes of our inquiries in two fascinating areas : arts & health, and collaborative audience research.

Performing arts organization have a great need for accurate and immediately actionable data on their actual and latent audiences. Yet, there are many obstacles on the path towards data-informed decision making in the arts: research resources are scarce, existing data is often only available in aggregate format, existing data is not well shared, and arts organizations have limited capacity to analyze and make use of data. Along with foreign and Canadian colleagues, we've been exploring way of overcoming these obstacles, and we would like to share solutions brought forth by the Audience Finder, a fascinating collaborative research initiative led in the United Kingdom.
