Description:

THIS WEBINAR IS PRESENTED IN FRENCH -- There is no doubt that physical activity is good for your health; the relationship between cultural activity and health however, still remains unrecognized or underestimated. Many studies conducted here in Canada and elsewhere have brought to light a series of links between an active cultural life and a number of health indicators.

This webinar is intended for public health and primary health care workers as well as workers from the cultural sector. It will offer:

  • an introduction in the interdisciplinary domain of arts and health;
  • an overview of research showing links between artistic practice and health;
  • mechanisms that might explain the relationship between arts and health;
  • ideas and resources which could help both health and arts sectors to take advantage of each other.
